Windows Server 2016 Active Directory Forest and Domain functional Level Showing “Windows Server Technical Preview” – Fixed: KB3194798

This should be fixed by installing KB3194798 Refer to Cumulative update for Windows 10 Version 1607 and Windows Server 2016: October 11, 2016

Some of have us downloaded the Windows Server 2016 from Technet Evaluation Center and one of the first thing we do is to install the Active Directory Role, however you later find out that the Forest functional level and Domain functional level is still showing as Windows Server Technical Preview.

One will need to install the the Cumulative update for Windows Server 2016: October 11, 2016 from Windows Update
